Social Week!

Hello Family and Friends!

As the title of this post suggests, it has been a rather fun social week for us!

Monday night we went and did a combined FHE with some friends from work. This friend served his mission in Albuquerque so I made some green chili enchiladas with some really good green chile that my Dad brought me on one of his trips to Rexburg. We hung out for a while and laughed a lot at their 18 month old little girl that was very flirty with Brett :) Then we watched Fireproof (If you liked facing the giant, you will like this one), I really enjoyed it, lots of good messages in it! I plan on owning it someday!

Brett's big socializing this week has been in group meetings. Both of his tough accounting classes this semester require them, but he seems to enjoy the people in his groups well enough. He met with them for three hours on Wednesday and three hours yesterday as well as a couple other hours scattered throughout the week. I always ask him - will you be home when I get off work or do you have a group meeting- 1/2 the time the answer is group meeting.

Thursday I hosted a Kensington Manor Apt 306 reunion. 4 of the 6 girls (Kellie, Whitney, Chelsea, and me) that I roomed with my freshman year happen to be in town at the same time and so we took advantage of the opportunity and got together for an "apartment dinner" like we used to do four years ago! The semester with those girls was my absolute favorite! We all got along so well and had some great times! It was fun to see where we all are now, I hope we can do it again sometime before people move too far away! (See Pictures Below)

Saturday when Brett was at work my little brother Craig came over and we played Just Dance on the Wii. It was nice playing it with someone that wanted to as opposed tot he times Brett will play with me after losing a bet of some sort. He also helped me make some homemade pizza and we all had dinner together when Brett got home from work. Good times!

I hope that everyone is doing well and that my updates do not get tedious or boring! I love blogging most for the journalism aspect of it!

P.S. I couldn't find any pictures of all four of us, but here are some from the semester we were roommates!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Brett and I have wonderful mothers that we are very grateful for! They are fantastic! We would not be who we are today without them.

Today is sacrament meeting all the guys stood up and sang "I often go walking" but instead of saying "Dear Mother" they said "Dear Sweetheart." It was so sweet! All the women got beautiful flowers. Brett made a dinner of Ham and potatoes. Very delicious!

This week we went and saw Avengers in theater, it took up the remainder of our entertainment budget, but it was worth it! I like funny movies, Brett likes action and this movie had both! I definitely recommend it, even if you aren't into the whole comic book action thing!

Work is going well for both of us - I am glad that the construction is finally finished and we can say goodbye to the construction workers. Brett is doing fantastic in his classes - I am so proud of him!

May the Fourth Be with You

Hello!

This week was my birthday- May 4th- which is also Star Wars Day! It started off with a normal shift at work, normal other than my brother and sister in law bringing me a giant slice of chocolate cake which was sooo good! When I was leaving work and walking to my car Brett called and told me to walk to his car instead, so I found his car and he took me straight to Down East and locked me in a dressing room. He then started handing me skirts to try on. After I had tried on and modeled about 5 he picked his favorite one and got it for me for my birthday! He just happened to pick the one I liked the most too! He also got me a bright green shirt that is super cute!

That night we ate at Gringos, which is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Rexburg, and then went to a Diamond Rio Concert! (One more day... one more time...) We had front row seats! It was so much fun. I would just like to say that in the beginning of the concert the lead singer totally tripped over the microphone stand and was able to catch himself, but not before I noticed and busted up laughing. He looked at me and smiled real big and that just made me laugh harder. He looked over at us several times after that. I felt pretty cool!

Today was Stake conference and Elder Ballard talked about missionary work and President Packer talked to the youth about being extra good in these extra bad times. I liked all the talks! Other than that its just been work work work (And school school school for Brett)!

I will hopefully add some birthday/concert pictures later!
