Broulims x2

Hello Family and Friends,

Well, Brett and I are officially Broulim's People. Brett continues to do a great job in the Bakery and everyone was very willing to welcome "Brett's wife" into the Deli. I have never made so many sandwiches in my life! I like the people I work with and the work itself can be fun. It is great to have a job - I am very aware that there are many people in Rexburg that need jobs and cannot find them.

New Callings! Last week Brett was made the Executive Secretary in the Bishopric and I am the new Relief Society Secretary. We are both looking forward to giving our best in these new callings and getting to know the great people we will be serving with.

We went to a ward Family Home Evening this week. It was a knowledge fair. We learned about Car maintenance, couponing, foot massages, and family history. It was fun, about half of our ward is new this semester and it was fun getting to know new people. It was also nice not to have to cook - love when the ward feeds us and send us home with the extras!

I hope everyone has a good week!

Anniversary, Honeyville, Classes, and New Job!

Hello!

Happy One Year Anniversary! Ok, It was last week, I am just slow on the blog update! Brett was very secretive this time, although I don't think it was too hard for him to keep the secret since I was so busy thinking about other things like finals, graduation, and my family being in town...

On Monday morning Brett told me to pack a bag and then took me to Salt Lake! We stayed in a nice hotel and Brett took me to eat at the Melting Pot. It is a fondue restaurant and was a really neat experience! We then went and saw the Hunger Games, which was fantastic! I had just finished reading the book and Brett just finished it Yesterday. It was a really great anniversary and I still can't believe its been a whole year!

This weekend we spent a couple of days in Honeyville. I got to spend a couple hours on Saturday shopping with my cousin Heather! It was so much fun to see her again! It was fun playing games and chasing after nieces and nephews!  Our sister-in-law Mandy had a baby girl yesterday - bringing the Bingham grandchildren to a total of 11 - we are still waiting to hear what they named her!

Brett is starting School this morning. It is strange for him to be going to class and me to just stay here. I will not be bored though because I start my new Job today! That's right, I will be working along side my husband at Broulims! (The local grocery store) Brett will continue working in the bakery and I was hired in the Deli. It is such a blessing to have a job and so quickly after graduation.

I hope everyone has a great day and good luck with finals or starting classes!

Monster Eggs!

Hello!

Nothing says Easter like monster eggs right?!

My two teenage brothers stayed with us this weekend and we had a lot of fun! They took to just Dance 3 well enough (my entire family enjoyed it) and so we played that often and last night we decorated Easter eggs! They couldn't just be normal Easter eggs though... these were monsters! We had a lot of fun with it!

Scary Eggs!

Nice!

These guys crack me up! (Doug (15), Craig(18), and Brett!(24))

My favorite one!

While my parents were here (and Brett was at work) we went to the BYUI Bowling Ally, which was fun. What happens about 45% of the time that I go bowling is I get through the front doors of the alley and then remember that I am not wearing socks. This wasn't a problem at the BYUI lanes though because they had some I could borrow! Bleh! I swear they pulled these socks out of the lost and found in the seventies and figured give them to the poor forgetful bowlers! (They didn't match and one of them the elastic had completely worn out of.)

Fun times with family! I hope that everyone has a great Easter!

Sheree's Graduation!

Hey!

Graduation was fantastic! It felt so great to bring everything to a close with all the other graduates. Russel M. Ballard was the commencement speaker and he gave a fantastic talk that would be impossible for me to summarize. I hope that we get a copy of the talk soon. All of my family was able to be there, which was a blessing, and Brett's parents and Sister drove up as well.

I think that the pictures say the rest!

Newel K. Whitney Award Ceremony

Dear Sheree,
"The BYU-Idaho Department of Communication is pleased to announce that you have been selected to receive the Newel K. Whitney Scholar award.  Please join us for an award ceremony Jan. 3 from 2-3 p.m. in Manwaring Center 387 Special Events room.
The Newel K. Whitney Scholar award is in memory of the early Church leader who used his gifts, talents and means to build the kingdom of God.  Whitney was innovative, frugal and honest.  Additionally, he was able to improve his business yet remain loyal to the Church despite hard times.
Specifically, you are being honored for your character, diligence and pursuit of excellence. Selected students must be nominated by at least four Communication faculty who feel you will represent the Church, university and department as an exemplary graduate.

Thank you for your exceptional work as a student in the Department of Communication, and congratulations on being named a Newel K. Whitney Scholar!"

Sincerely,

Michael C. Cannon, Chair
Department of Communication
This was an email I received about a month ago. The Awards Ceremony was today!  Brett sat and held my hand as we listened to each award winner be introduced by one of the teachers that nominated them. When it was my turn to be introduced I was very nervous. Brother Eric Embree, who has been my teacher, employer, and friend gave a fantastic introduction and explained why I was nominated. I feel that he was way too kind!

Overall, it was a great event and I am honored to be a Newel K. Whitney Scholar! Only 3 more days until graduation!
